The sandy beach Platis Yialos is one of the most organized beaches of Mykonos, offering, apart from restaurants, mini-markets etc. a lot of possibilities for water sports as well as of course sun beds and umbrellas, life guard, etc. Local boats can take you from the beach to the other South lying beaches of Mykonos, like the popular beaches Paranga or Paradise[party beaches] or Psarrou[cosmopolitan,lifestyle], which can also easily be reached within a short walk.
Mykonos Town is 4,2km (2,6 miles) or a 7 minutes drive away, the airport lies in a distance of 4,5km (2,8 miles).There is a bus station at Platis Yialos offering frequent connection to Mykonos Town.Mina Studios offers free transfer from/to the airport or port.
